Abstract
This article examines the American sanctions against Iranian shipping and the international responsibility of the United States in compensating for the consequences of these sanctions. These sanctions cause direct and indirect effects on the country of Iran and the international community, and lead to the violation of human rights and the closure of bank accounts, and they also cause losses in terms of international relations. In addition, these sanctions limit Iran's economic and social development and progress and have a negative impact on its commercial and economic relations internationally. The findings of the research show that the American sanctions against Iranian shipping have had wide-ranging effects on Iran's society and economy. These sanctions have caused human rights violations, reduced access to food and medicines, banking restrictions and problems in international relations. The study shows that sanctions have limited Iran's economic development and progress and have affected trade and economic relations with other countries. In this article, based on the concepts and regulations of international law, the necessity of compensation and the obligation of governments to comply with international laws is expressed. This article provides a better understanding of sanctions and their effects on the development process and the understanding of the international responsibility of governments.
