For the Greeks and Romans, the public sphere was a realm of political freedom for citizens. In this area, free people (non-slaves) could grow and flourish. The Western liberal tradition also inherited the principle of the necessity of separating public and private spheres from ancient Greece and Rome. with the difference that the private sphere in its liberal tradition is completely different from the private sphere. But in St. Remy, that private sphere was a place to prepare to appear in the public sphere. But where is the basis of this separation? What is the turning point of this separation, its differences and similarities with other theories? This article will answer the above questions by focusing on the ideas of Hannah Arendt, one of the most important theorists of the public and private spheres.
