The most important need of man for economic, social, cultural, etc. growth and prosperity and achieving worldly and otherworldly perfection and happiness is peace and tranquility. It is in the context of peaceful relations between individuals and societies that the ground for scientific advances is prepared to facilitate the lives of human beings. Avoiding conflict and violence and peacefully resolving disputes leads to the spiritual and moral excellence of man and makes him truly the best of creatures. Peaceful coexistence, as it is considered as a fundamental principle in the international legal system, also enjoys a unique position in the holy law of Islam. This analytical and library research, through a networked view of the rulings and rules of Islamic law and paying attention to the horizon and lofty goals that the holy law has considered for human life, seeks to explain the foundations of the jurisprudential rule of "peaceful coexistence" or "peaceful coexistence". And in light of that, it examines the issue of jihad.
