The era following the establishment of the United Nations can be considered the era of consolidation of the international legal system. Along with institutions such as the International Law Commission, which is engaged in the formulation and development of general international law, this consistency can also be credited to institutions such as the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL). This legal institution, through the preparation of legislative and non-legislative documents, has played an effective role in establishing the legal infrastructure of international trade and has offered a modern, harmonized, and integrated system to the actors of international trade. This analytical article seeks to gain a better understanding of UNCITRAL's relationship with the concept of national interest. It achieves this by first defining and examining the components of national interests. Furthermore, the article analyzes the impact of UNCITRAL on security, economic, political and, international interests, ultimately exploring the works of this international institution in this context. The research findings show that the coherent legal system created by the efforts of UNCITRAL has a direct relationship with various dimensions of national interest, and the effective presence of UNCITRAL and the implementation of its documents will help to ensure national interests through the promotion of international trade.
